\u25bcFirst Program Announcement<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n rom world premieres debuting at Toyooka Theater Festival to highly anticipated works by acclaimed companies and artists from both Japan and abroad, this year\u2019s lineup offers a rich and exciting selection.
Highlights include a program centered on the geisha culture of Kinosaki, a collaboration between a local citizen-based dance company and a leading Butoh artist, and an open-air performance set along the Takeno Coast.
Other programs emerge from close ties to the region, including interdisciplinary collaborations between researchers and artists.
In addition to works that will meet the expectations of dedicated performing arts fans, the festival will welcome numerous artists from across the globe through international co-productions, emerging companies, and street performances.
The full lineup\u2014including programs in Asago City, Kami Town, and Shinonsen Town, as well as the Fringe program\u2014will be announced on June 17.
