What happens when we stop trying to get somewhere?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We Just Out Here Loitering!<\/em> is a playful dance-theatre performance that explores loitering as both a physical act and a state of mind. Through movement, conversation, street-ish and contemporary-ish dance, theatre, waiting, wandering, and unexpected encounters, the performers transform ordinary public spaces into places of curiosity and connection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What is the role of a performer? What is expected of an audience? Are we allowed to loiter for a while?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For us, loitering is a way of connecting to the geography around us and the people we share it with. It offers a chance to step away from the transactional nature of daily life and experience public space differently. Through improvisation, partner work, humour, inside jokes, and play, the performers blur the boundaries between performance and everyday behaviour, inviting audiences into a shared experience of observation and discovery.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The piece celebrates distraction, daydreaming, and the often-overlooked experience of simply being present. Small gestures become choreography, waiting becomes performance, and public space becomes a site for connection. Rather than rushing toward a destination, the work lingers in the spaces between people, uncovering possibilities hidden within ordinary interactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We Just Out Here Loitering!<\/em> invites audiences to slow down, wander, and experience the city through a fresh lens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In a culture increasingly defined by productivity, efficiency, and constant movement, this work asks a simple question:<\/p>\n\n\n\n
