It is an area scattered with small villages, where there are stretches of beautiful fields nestled between mountains.<br>The area is home to many historical community theater stages that remain intact on shrine grounds. These wooden stages, dating back to the Edo era, were used for traveling kabuki performances and lively community plays put on by local residents. Tant\u014d is also known for having had a significant impact on spirituality and culture, with many folk tales originating in the area being passed down across the ages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This history forms the backdrop for Tanto Sai Sai, a collaborative project where Karasuma Stroke Rock, along with children and residents from Tant\u014d, create an original kagura dance based on local folklore. With this process, they aim to produce a theater piece that is rooted in the daily life of the community. The project has been staged across rural kabuki theaters in Tant\u014d each year since 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The festive, stall-lined temple grounds erupt with the sounds of applause\u2026as summer comes to a close in Tant\u014d, come experience \u201cTanto Sai Sai,\u201d a dance surrounded by the nature of the season.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Tant\u014d is located at the far-eastern end of Toyooka City and bordered on three sides by Kyoto Prefecture.
