The Performing Arts Project “LOCUS” was launched in 2024 and took place in Nakano, Tokyo for two weeks in September.
The project is based on the theme of “trajectory” and attempts to re-examine the “perception and creativity” that appear and disappear in the mind and body as time passes in people’s lives, and the “physicality” that lies beneath it, from various approaches.
This time, a new version will be presented, reorganizing the work performed at Terpsichore in September 2024, with a spatial direction suited to the venue.
As performers, Argentinean María de los Ángeles Pais and its director Yuki Miyawaki resonate with the spatial art created by Tatsuo Yamashina and the sound composed by Mayuko Matsumoto, weaving a moment of rising to the “here and now” through the trajectory of the body that continues to transform along with memory and senses.
