It began in the spring of 2015, when a small group first came together beneath Mount Zhinan in Taipei.
Active as Late Protocol (晚熟) since 2017, with Yves Chen and Vera Lee at its core, the collective creates performative art experiences. With “.live” as its creative goal, it transforms the minute, fragmented, whisper-like experiences hidden in the cracks of daily life into recognizable visual and auditory vocabularies, and into readable live events.
Pursuing its vision of “landscapes of thought,” the collective explores the digital, the intimate, alienation, and the niche — seeking collaborators and venues through co-creation and mutual production.

Notes
- This is a one-person, one-phone experience on your own smartphone. If you’re coming with others, we recommend each person books their own ticket — one creature is born per person.
- Please bring a charged smartphone, your own earphones, and mobile data, and wear comfortable clothing and shoes. By purchasing, you agree that Late Protocol will email you a personal link for the experience (one link per person; it cannot be shared).
- The experience begins seven days before your performance — to be there from the moment of birth, we recommend booking early.

“I have never seen the sea,” that day, your phone said.
Take Me With You／行ってきます is a promenade performance through a small seaside town. In your pocket, a little creature that belongs to you, and only you, takes your hand — and together you ride the train from Toyooka to Takeno in search of the sea. In the clamour of our information-saturated days, whisper a soft ittekimasu — “I’m off, and I’ll be back” — to yourself, and slip away on a brief, intimate excursion.
Reading only the faint signals of your device, the creature seems to understand you a little more with each step — and yet, will any of it remain?
This September, let’s travel together to the shores of Takeno.

The Takeno area is relatively flat, but the performance involves walking outdoors. If you have specific access needs, please contact the company in advance.

We recommend coming by public transport. If driving, we suggest “Takeno Station-mae Parking” near JR Takeno Station.
