A sensual solo exploring desire, vulnerability, and the gaze.

In As you like it – Solo, choreographer and performer Mirte Bogaert turns her body into a living question. Inspired by Japanese strip theatre and shaped through more than two years of research, the work explores desire, vulnerability, visibility, and the gaze.

Moving between ritual, sensuality, humour, and tension, the performance examines how social codes shape our perception of bodies and sexuality. The female body becomes a site of negotiation between exposure and concealment, pleasure and discomfort, agency and projection.

Movement, sound, costume and light, create a shifting landscape in which performer and audience continuously influence one another. Rather than presenting fixed answers, the work invites spectators into an intimate encounter that questions what it means to look, to be looked at, and to construct meaning through that exchange.

As you like it – Solo is a playful, provocative, and reflective performance that unfolds in the space between curiosity, concealment and visibility.
