“Placing Shoes in Living Spaces and Contemplating ‘Lives’: An Object Theater Performance”
We live with shoes.
Footsteps, stride length, walking speed.
Shoes are eloquent, conveying the personality, circumstances, and life of the wearer. This production focuses on the intimate relationship between shoes and humans, and by placing shoes in ordinary living spaces, it highlights the lives of the people living there.
For example, in front of benches, vending machines, and bulletin boards.
What kind of urban life emerges when shoes are placed in these spots? It might vary depending on the viewer. However, the scenery likely reflects the impressions that the audience unconsciously holds of the town and the people living there.
An object theater piece by the Ghost_company Ashimoto, rethinking the lives and impressions of the town through shoes.
