Taking the human body as the common ground between their practices, they seek the inevitability of this person being there, in this particular form.

After the performance, the costumiere will join the walk back to the tunnel entrance. Participants are invited to take a closer look at the site and costumes, and are welcome to take photographs along the way.
• This is a walking performance that takes place inside a 1,067-meter-long tunnel, with the audience moving through the tunnel toward the exit as the performance unfolds. Including the return walk after the performance, the total walking distance is approximately 2 km.
• Parts of the route are covered with gravel, so please wear comfortable walking shoes.
• The stated performance duration includes the walk back to the tunnel entrance after the performance.
• The tunnel may feel cool, even in warmer weather. Please bring an extra layer or light jacket to help regulate your body temperature.

Humpit, the collaborative unit of costumiere Minami Hirano and choreographer Rion Nakagawa, presents a new tour guide–style performance that unfolds as audiences walk through a 1,067-meter-long tunnel.
Waiting at the entrance is a figure dressed in an decorative costume. One by one, the people who will walk together begin to gather. What can we choose to carry? What can we entrust? And what are we willing to take on for the journey to the other side?
Until now, Humpit has approached the human body as the common ground between costume and choreography, creating works in which the boundaries between the two gradually dissolve. This time, however, they begin by separating the relationship, placing costume and dance side by side and asking what each might be on its own.
Yet simply placing them side by side proves far more difficult than expected. Because they both engage with the same body, a shift in one inevitably unsettles the other. Instability. Imbalance. An inescapable mutual influence. The reassurance of complementing one another. The cost of change.
Perhaps there is no getting to the other side without giving something in return.
