Dancing is not something to be ‘made’ but something to be ‘received’.
And I firmly believe that what the people of Toyooka value, I also want to value.
So far, we have been performing works related to Tajima with the people of Toyooka, going back and forth between here and there, between the world of the living and the world of the dead, between the past and the present.
We are very honored to present a part of our journey at the Toyooka Theater Festival.
In addition to the Dairakudakan dancers and members of the Tajima Storks and Magpie Theater, the leader of Dairakudakan, Akaji Maro, will make a special appearance.
We are all looking forward to the journey of this new production. Please come and see it!
