The most appealing point of this performance is that it is a completely new theatrical expression that makes full use of three-dimensional sound.
Although three-dimensional sound by itself is not a new technology, it will be utilized to create a space in which singers, musicians, actors, stage design, and lighting will be united by making the most of this phenomenon.
We hope to create a rich, intense, and never-before-seen work that can only be achieved through a long-term residency at the Kinosaki International Arts Center.

Five years have passed since the premiere of “Zero” at the Toyooka Theater Festival. This autumn will see the premiere of a sequel, the theater opera “The star has no sound −Clockwork Universe−”.
My experience in Toyooka in 2020 has remained at the center of my heart for the past five years.
“Theater Opera” is a genre that I began advocating with Oriza Hirata, with the desire to create a new form of expression that fuses various contemporary arts such as theater, visual art, and music.
This work will be premiered at the Toyooka Theater Festival and will tour to the Setouchi Triennale and the Mito International Music Festival.
We sincerely hope that this work will connect the different genres of theater, art, and music festivals, as well as their respective regions.
Above all, we are very much looking forward to taking this new step forward from the Toyooka Theater Festival.
